About CSN Membership

An Evolving Story...

We invite you to deepen your relationship with Circle of Sacred Nature (CSN) by becoming an annual member. May we continue to pray, grow, and cultivate a loving and sustainable community.

Over the years our membership system has evolved. Launching our new membership system has involved us deeply reflecting on what we want to create as a church, how we want to grow as a spiritual community, and what it means to be a sustainable organization.

At this juncture, we are excited to share our new approach. We warmly invite your participation in this process and your participation in the next evolution of CSN.

The new membership system will:

- Provide new opportunities for you to participate in our ceremonial offerings and integration activities and events

- Provide a way to more meaningfully be a part of CSN's growth as a church and a spiritual community

- Provide a pathway to further support our ongoing reciprocity efforts where our lineage originates in Sibundoy, Colombia

- Provide a pathway to secure additional legal support and continue to work toward receiving legal recognition for our ceremonial practice

- Provide more opportunities for members of our community to experience the benefits of CSN's offerings in a way that is sustainable for us as an organization

In addition to what is exchanged through membership, it also means that you understand what Circle of Sacred Nature is and that you feel connected to it- either as a spiritual home or as an organization whose mission and values you support. CSN’s mission statement and statement of beliefs can be found here

We invite you to reflect on CSN's role in your life and/or that of others. By joining as a member, we hope you may feel a deeper sense of belonging and an invitation to further engage in shaping and nourishing CSN's future.

One of the goals of our new membership model is to create a more meaningful pathway to continue supporting our reciprocity efforts in Colombia, where our lineage originates. Ten percent of all membership fees will be dedicated to supporting reciprocity efforts through our sister Colombian non-profit, OIOC. This is in addition to the percentage already allocated from our ceremonial donation fees.

Our newsletters will feature the specific projects we are supporting in the Kamentsa community and the individuals and families that are benefiting from them. We are calling this our ‘Deepening the Dialogue Initiative’. A history of how our church has been supporting reciprocity efforts for the last 15 years can be found here. We encourage you to check out this page and see how you (and we) have been supporting reciprocity efforts over the years.

Our community’s engagement with the new membership system has the potential for us to lower the minimum suggested donations for our ceremonies. We will be able to assess this after we evaluate membership engagement. We invite those with greater capacity to give at a higher level.

Since its inception, CSN's organizational side has largely been operated by our ministers and leadership on a volunteer basis. Generosity, giving, and reciprocity have been interwoven into CSN's growth and maturation and embraced as spiritual principles of our religious practice. We warmly ask our community to join and support us in this spirit of generosity and reciprocity.

If you've ever benefited from one of our ceremonies or events, we hope you will consider supporting us with at least a minimum monthly donation. Your support makes the sustainability of our church possible.
